If you have had a look through my site, you will probably have spotted that I love an outdoor wedding!! There is something so natural and relaxed about being able to say your vows under the open sky, or surrounded by beautiful old trees.
We are really lucky in Hampshire to have some amazing outdoor wedding venues, or at least venues that offer both an outdoor and indoor option, because… British Summer!!
So here are some of my favourites…
The Barn at Avington - Avington, Hampshire
The Barn at Avington is not the usual rustic wedding barn. Instead you have an industrial style barn, with tonnes of beautiful natural light and white walls… it is a totally blank canvas, ready for you to make it whatever you want to. This is the most relaxed wedding venue in Hampshire! You can party in the barn, or have an outdoor wedding ceremony on the banks of the river… but whatever you choose, you have the site for a whole week, giving you heaps of time to prepare and party!!
Plus, there are gorgeous cottages to stay on site, and glamping in the glen - whats not to love!?
The Water Garden - Winchester, Hampshire
This is a super exciting, brand new outdoor wedding venue in Hampshire. In the heart of Winchester, under the beautiful Cathedral, you step into the calm of these old walled gardens. It is so perfect for anyone planning a relaxed, intimate wedding, and they give you loads of time to prepare and embrace your own style for your day.
Holden Farm, Winchester, Hampshire
Just outside Winchester, is the beautiful Holden Farm, a working farm that has a field set aside specially for events.
I’ve said it before, but this really is a blank canvas, and the perfect backdrop for a boho festival wedding. Organise a tipi, yurt, bell tent or marquee (see below!!) and the possibilities are endless. Plus theres a campsite so friends and family can stay on site.
Coastal Tents, Dorset, Hampshire & Beyond
I love these guys!! Owen and Carla are the friendliest husband and wife team and they are willing to go out of their way to help every couple who comes to them.
They offer tipis and sailcloth marquees both of which are beautiful. The tipis create a lovely shady cover for hot summer days, and also a warm cosy atmosphere for autumn/winter weddings. You can even have an open wood fire to keep everyone snug!
The sailcloth tent is light, bright and airy and perfect if you have amazing views, as the sides can be rolled up, or are see through when down.
Aaaand… you can put them anywhere you like!! An English garden wedding, wild woodland wedding, boho festival wedding - Its totally up to you!!
