Wedding Photography Prices UK, 2019-2020

Finding a UK wedding photographer can be a tricky business! I know when I got married in 2017, even as a wedding professional myself, I found choosing a photographer who was priced right for us, and who’s style I loved, such a confusing process.

So I wanted to write a little about the how’s, what’s and why’s of wedding photography prices in 2019-2020 and hopefully shed some light on this mind-boggling topic.

Advice for Brides and Grooms - Tips for a Relaxed Wedding Day

Advice for Brides and Grooms - Tips for a Relaxed Wedding Day

As a wedding photographer, I have experienced many wedding days, and have come to the conclusion that the more relaxed the wedding, the more you and your guests will enjoy yourselves.

Often you have been building up to your wedding day for months, years even and it is easy to get caught up in the finest of details and overwhelmed by the pressure of making sure that every one else has a lovely time.

So here is my advice for a relaxed wedding day.

Faith & Rich - Raby Nurseries, West Kirby

Faith & Rich - Raby Nurseries, West Kirby

This beautiful wedding was the first of this season for me.  I have known Faith for a long time (we were at school together) and was very excited when she asked me to photograph their day.

The wedding ceremony was at Holy Cross Church, in Woodchurch, Wirral and their reception was in Raby Nurseries, which is beautiful... an outdoor, garden wedding venue.

It was so much fun spending the day with Faith and Rich, seeing old faces from my school days, and meeting friends of theirs from all over the world.

8 Reasons to have an Engagement Shoot!

8 Reasons to have an Engagement Shoot!

I am sure, during your search for an Auckland wedding photographer, that you have come across the idea of an engagement shoot a number of times!  Some wedding photographers offer them as an add on for a package, some don't offer them at all, and some include them as standard.  I fall into the third category, and here are 8 great reasons why I think you should consider an engagement session as part of your wedding photography.

Jaimee & Nicol - Markovina Vineyard Estate, Kumeu

The first wedding of the season is normally one of mixed emotions for a wedding photographer. I swing precariously between absolute excitement at getting to experience more beautiful weddings, meet new couples and do what genuinely makes me happy - photograph people and their gorgeous weddings; and extreme nerves - what if I have totally forgotten how to use my camera?!!

James & Asal - Mantells on the Water, Auckland

James & Asal - Mantells on the Water, Auckland

James and Asal got married on a beautiful late summers day, at Mantells on the water, a quirky, classy and fun wedding venue in Auckland city centre.

Their wedding matched the venue perfectly, it was a gorgeous day, and the love James and Asal had for each other brought a tear to many eyes (mine included!!) After the ceremony, the newly-weds tied a length of rope into a reef knot - a knot that gets stronger the more it is pulled, and a symbol of their relationship.  It fitted in perfectly with the harbour-side location, and really resonated with me as I was given a ring in the shape of the same knot by my Fiance!

Amanda (Amanda Wignell Photography) and I went to meet Emma, getting ready at her family bach in Omaha and what a way to start a beautiful day!  We were greeted by her lovely family, and made to feel comfortable from the moment we walked in.  She had a small bridal party of her sister and best friend, and there was so much love between the three of them.
